Featuring: 
    • Ron Daise-Author, Educator, Performer, Historian, and TV Star
    • Magic Marc, Student Recognition, and performances by local bands, chorus, and dance groups
 

Teachers, students, and parents/guardians are invited to participate in the Seventh Annual Savannah Black Heritage Festival School Day Extravaganza Activities, sponsored by The City of Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs and produced by Savannah State University.

Goal:  The School Day Extravaganza will enhance the reading, social studies, language arts, mathematics, art, and scientific skills of the students.

Objective:  The Extravaganza is used to increase the academic performance of the students in reading, research, organizational skills, creative productivity, writing, and presentation of data.
 
Focus:   The impact of tracing family roots (Genealogy/Surname) in the development of family identification, traditions, and values as demonstrated in today’s families. 

Mission:  All students will identify the evolvement of their family in today’s society.
